Saturday, January 7, 2017

CHARLOTTE - Jan. 7, 2016 - As a result of the winter storm, UNC Charlotte remains on Condition 1 (Reduced Operations) status for Saturday, Jan. 7.

Condition 1 means an adverse weather event  or other emergency is likely to have an impact on the local area.  However, the campus is clear for foot and vehicle traffic.
While UNC Charlotte remains open, members of the University community should exercise good judgment when determining if they can travel to and from campus safely.

If an individual cannot reach campus or decides to leave campus early:

  • Staff: Non-mandatory employees should contact their supervisors to discuss how they will account for missed timeNote that non-mandatory employees who leave campus before 5 p.m. or their regularly scheduled end time on Friday must also account for missed hours. Mandatory employees are expected to report to work as directed.
  • Faculty: Since classes are not in session, faculty do not need to take action.
  • Students: Since classes are not in session, off-campus students do not need to take action. On-campus resident students should watch their email for communication from Housing and Residence Life. For a list of open on-campus services, visit the Auxiliary Services webpage.
